Awesome sets! The place is such a mess, but it looks so interesting! What's the story on this place?

Thank you guys. Most of the credit goes to af, though, he took most of the pics.

The story is: hospital goes bankrupt several times, gets cited for violations several times, they weren't fixing the violations fast enough and got shut down. Everyone bailed and left a ton of stuff there, and the powers that be want to tear it down, but they can't get a handle on exactly who owns it. I don't know why.

It's been set on fire like 3 times, there have been hazardous wastes reported and cleaned up, in the house next door (which is owned by the same people) there are medical records stored everywhere, and the roof of the house slid off during the last few years and landed in the front, blocking the whole front of the house.

The building across the street (I dunno if af took pics of that) was built with the intention of having a walkway between the hospital and it, but never really finished.

It's a really cool place.

that is the other place, rather than demolition, i hope they can get someone to use it, structurally it is still intact and a gorgeous place with a lot of potential, and the stone house attached to it is awesome. everything is uploaded if ya wanna post some more

That is really interesting and impressive. I'm intrigued by the fact that no one's able to figure out who owns the place though. You'd think they keep records of that stuff!

But still, excellent photos by both of you.

Glad you liked em, there were a bunch of places that I didn't get to shoot, partly cuz it was starting to get late and partly cuz they didn't turn out because some idiot bumped the focus button to manual so the lens wouldn't auto focus
