We love new locations.

We love tips.

We love tricks.

~~~~~
Lately, some of us who have been here awhile have seen new members join us (one in particular who got their post count up enough to be able to use pms to ask for locations in 24 HOURS) with the sole purpose of garnering new locations, tips and tricks.
Some of us are not exactly pleased with that. I especially am not exactly pleased with that. It makes Agent Chain an unhappy camper, as a matter of fact.
We love new members above all. What we don't love is new members poking and prodding other members about locations, tips and tricks.
If you'd like to join us and be part of our little loving family, please do so. But come in the spirit that this board is all about, which is sharing your own experiences and pics, and not trying to share someone else's experiences by asking for things that you shouldn't ask for without doing your time in our beloved hobby.
By "doing your time" I mean get out there and splore stuff that YOU have found on your own or with other means aside from TWHT. Doing your own thing is welcomed and respected here.
Nice writeup CD, new members need to see this. I agree, it does make me mad when their too lazy to get out and find stuff on their own, all it takes is riding a bike, walking, or simply asking locals - that will get you farther than asking on a board where the cops troll etc.
That is how I have found many of the locations I have. As we all have
People need to get out there, it would be far more rewarding in the end.
If I've have ever asked for a location (of course after I have been here for a while and settled in) it would have only been because I thought it would be awesome to check out..based on pictures that are posted and what not. When I post I always try to be discreet. When I'm asked I always try to accommodate. Sometimes you have to earn it though. But here in our little home we need to be respectful. You never know who the trolls or cops are.
In hindsight, UE is right. We do need to do our own footwork as well. How else are all the newly abandoned places are going to be discovered? There are always going to be new tales to tell, new pictures to take. Get dirty sometimes. Do recon work. Find POE's. Sure lean on other explorers as well....but don't take advantage and don't do it all the time!
I love to be taken advantage of, just ask my girlfriend! :)
I'm gonna get what's comin' to me one day...
These days my life is empty,
Hard times for the son-of-a-bitch!
That's why she's the boss.
He thrusts his fisted camera high
As he yells out his battle cry
His voice is strong and true
"REMEMBER THE GRANDVIEW!!!!"
Hardly.
I'm too rooted in reality to get a big head.
There's a reason they call it the "Chain of Command!" ;)
I just saw this post - sorry I missed it! As a new member I am guilty of asking about locations etc...my bad! Hope I didn't rub anyone the wrong way.
