[Fancy Dan]

Mainly made this video for my crew, but I'll share it with you all, too

You can see my whole crew in here

Starting at 2:02 (in this order): Auzzie, Crunk, Caveman, Pixie, me, Auzzie (again), Crunk (again), me (again), Snowcone and lastly, my cousin, Muscles.

There was one person noticably missing from this video... one member of my crew, OBC was overseas with the Marines during the majority of filming this video... you can see him breifly throughout the video in the brown Carhartt jacket. Hes also at the end of the video in the teeter-totter scene.

That $20 "HD" camera i bought off ebay has paid off as of this video.

If you saw my early videos, this was a huge improvement.

I noticed the fading in your avatar earlier today before I watched this video and thought it looked cool. It looks really cool in the video. Good job.

Personally I feel a little bit of pride in this video, you watch some of my early videos and much of them are wobbly, shaky... a lot of floor shots. a lot of ceiling shots.... I"ve improved a lot, I'd like to think.


To get the ghost effect, what I did was lay a shot of the scene without us, and then lay a shot of the scene with us over it.

Since it was filmed with a tripod nothing moved and I could line up the video with and without us perfectly. Also, since I am easily distracted, i had at least 30 seconds of video where the camera was just rolling with noone there. I cut the scene with noone in it, extended it to the length of the scene in the video, on the layer above it, i put the video with us in it, set the opacity to 69% and was good to go.

Nice editing work The only thing I noticed that I would improve on is when you're panning you need to slow down and have a definite start and stop and hold on the start stop position for longer. Everything I've read recommends that when you stop or start on something that you hold for at least 10 seconds. I do the same thing and I usually don't catch it until I'm home and looking at it on the monitor. It's a habit I'm trying to break myself of, but I'm primarily a still photographer so I'm used to snapping the shot and moving on. You are definitely better at editing than I am...I wouldn't have thought to do the fades. Nice work!
