Just as the title says, I found a solution to our spam problem.

When users register, they have to enter "hteetevahsllaweht" backwards (which spells out "thewallshaveteeth"!)

I think we thought we did, then a guest posted a legitimate post, then I tried posting as a guest and was able to.
