I recently found out that the former Park will re-open under the former owner in 2011 - however the park has changed its name and no longer has the logo anywhere on site. The State owns the property and the portion of the park that sits on the fairgrounds itself.

Security was 2nd to none there, except I entered at around 5:30A.M. to get a bright and early head-start. At around 8:40A.M. I spotted a dude on a golf cart, so I zipped to the nearest place to take cover, he passed me and continued on (Guess he didn't see me), then after about 4 minutes, I start out to get to the fence-line since I was done shooting the park (its smaller than I thought, kinda disappointed), but then I saw him come around the bend up ahead of me, so I again dart over and kinda jog to get out of there, again he didn't spot me but I saw him. (Or he didn't care ) How weird. But I made it to the fence, and thought to myself, "nah nah ne boo boo", as I hop the fence and leave, I was glad I didn't have to run and jump over as the barbed wire would have me in shreds.

Alright, now done with the boring talk, on to some promo pics till I can get the rest done.

*I thought this was funny, they have these posted EVERYWHERE, making it clear about the No trespassing garbage, but non of the fences were electrified." Yeah I put my hand on it to find out.*

*This shot is blurred since I was using no flash, but the grass they have was tall.*

*If your short, wear "drywall stilts"*

*Oooo, looky A ferris wheel! I love this things* (I also have some shots of the airplanes flying out of the airport behind it, kinda cool. But due to the airport, most the rides had to be short.

*I don't remember what this ride did, but am sure it was fun!*

*This is the barbed/razor wire that lines the fences that surround the property.*

Awesome! Are the new owners keeping the same rides there?

These houses may look all run down, but they have a value you can't see

They've already removed alot of the rides as its different from both google/bing maps. But they plan to add a bigger waterpark and a few new rides.

Nice. Where was the sign that said "Thank you for your patronage"?

That was taken at the Expo Center located next door where the rest of the park extends at.

oic. I wondered because it's obviously an electronic sign, and I didn't know what one would be doing in an abandoned amusement park.
