if any of you get a chance when you are near lexington go find mt. sterling - the old high school is a wonderful place to cut your UE teeth on. there is also an abandoned church just around the corner from it, right in the middle of 'downtown'. i go there once a year and hit it every single time.

Yes let's!!! I drove past an amazing factory yesterday on the way to Burgin. There are actually a lot of abandons along that road. Have you driven that stretch to shaker town?

I've never been to Shakertown. There's an old state hospital cemetery in the area though.

I found the church - but maybe I found a different one - according to abandoned online - it was renovoated in 07 and Bapist Worship Center is using it. http://www.abandoned...baptist-church/

Unfortunately in the past several years some of the better places have been demolished. I know a few buildings on US-27 headed to Somerset were torn down for the road expansion.
