I just read that the amusement park has shut down, am heading to Louisville to capture the park before most of the rides are sold off etc.

This will be fun!

When are you leaving?
Now you can tear a building down, but you can't erase a memory
These houses may look all run down, but they have a value you can't see

Right away I suppose, they shut down Feb this year, but I hear online they've possibly already torn down alot of the rides to ship them to other parks and whatnot, but its only an hour & a half from me.

This may come off a bit odd, but abandoned Amusement parks make me horny. There is just something about them, just like Americana in Ohio.

I'll do my best to not get arrested.

I figured I'll go in when its still dark, then walk till I find a decent spot to hop the fence to get in, probably be there for 4 1/2 hours before departing. If all goes well, I'll return the next day to finished it off. Don't wanna push my luck to much lol.

Since I'll be in the Louisville area, does anyone have any good spots I should check out? (If ya want, just PM me if you don't want the info public) Preferably within a half an hour radius, I'll be in Kentucky for 3 days mainly for the amusement park. If there's something close, I'll hit it, but with work, I am unsure when I'll be back in that general direction. Too bad Evansville isn't close, I know they have some stuff, but its 2 hours West from where we'll be.

If there's nothing, thats fine, just seein.

Thanks CD! Your awesome!

Yeah, Lexington will probably be my next trip out. I may try riding the train for a different experience when I can take off more than 2 weeks or so.
