Ok, I know this isn't exactly abandoned. But hope noone minds me posting it here, to me its like the Cinderella story of abandonments and I was lucky enough to visit it last week. These are the pics I was able to take on the tour, when I wasnt being shooed along and told to stay with the group. I have to say, it is a gorgeous building and I plan to go back for the overnight stay. I am sure everyone knows about Waverly, but here is the link to their official website just in case http://www.therealwaverlyhills.com/
And here are my pics. I will be getting more that my friend took. I highly recommend this tour if anyone is in the Louisville area, and wish more abandoned places ended up like this one.

It was even if I wasn't allowed to fall behind to take pics. One of my favorite parts was the friend I took with me. I think I kind of pushed her into going, and they played up the ghost stories and showed stuff like the ghost hunters ep and stuff before we went, and I watched the color drain from her. But it wasnt long after we went inside I noticed her relaxing and looking around more. By the time we got to the car she thanked me and told me how much she enjoyed it. I definitely want to spend the night next year. Hehehehe, she said the same thing right before I left to come home. But the tour was a very good way to get a walk through of the place and see an amazing building.
