I went to the Gamby House, very cool except the boarding that's up - no fencing at all, very cool overall - I have 39 photos, here are a couple I took while there.

It was endangered recently this year for demo'ing, but fortunately with the help of literally thousands, the home is Historic & is saved (for now) from the evilness of destruction. I would give anything to see the inside, even though they removed item from inside to make it look worse so the house could be torn down. Dam Green Acres.

*This was a sign in-front of a house directly across the street, telling every1 that drives past to remember the Gamble Home & to save it from destruction of any type.*

Awesome house!
Now you can tear a building down, but you can't erase a memory
These houses may look all run down, but they have a value you can't see

It was built in 1919 if I recall correctly. I actually canceled my trip to Dayton just to see this house before I had to leave & head home.
Sorta disappointed, but there was too much to see while there, I actually extended my time for a full week instead of 3 days.(Work can wait. LOL.

Included at the following link is the history to the house, the protest, plus a photo gallery.

The article said the house has been vacant since 1961, but I read somewhere else that it was occupied until at least 1992.

That place is freakin gorgeous. And I agree, there is just never enough time to see everything. I loved my trip to Louisville but very disappointed that I didn't get to see the things I wanted and that some things happened that ended the last two days without seeing Ohio. But I still have personal days so its time to start trying to find stuff and planning next trip. I also have to say, Waverly Hills is freakin amazing and my pics will be posted soon, and gonna get and post the ones my friend took.

He thrusts his fisted camera high
As he yells out his battle cry
His voice is strong and true
"REMEMBER THE GRANDVIEW!!!!"
