I have always liked exploring buildings, tunnels, lots, w/e seems interesting. Violating a simple "No Tresspassing" sign has never bothered me, in fact, it adds to the fun and mystery. Whenever I go exploring I try to go on foot, this way I dont have to feel tied down by my car or having to carry my wallet with my ID in it. But if I have to drive, then I will park further away to help ensure my car doesnt give me away.
I usually take a good pair of boots or shoes, cargo pants, dark shirt, my swiss army knife or multi tool, some food and water (if its a longer trip), flashlight if Im going at night, cell phone, and another other tools I feel might be needed.
Ive been to quite a few different locations in my time each one being a little different. I love finding unexpected things. I also like when it takes more effort to get in than just hoping a little fence. The tougher it is to get inside, the more exciting. Now that I think about it, I think a big part of it is the thrill of mystery and unknown, feeling like your not supposed to be there, but you are.
I consider it a test as well.
-A test of skill at times, should I cross this beam over that deep water to get to that closed door? Should I climb that wall and jump that fence?
-A test of bravery (stupidity in some peoples eyes, those people are boring
-A test of intellect. Sometimes you have to do some problem solving to get to that next area without kicking up too much of a fuss, can you do it?
I also like exploring in video games as well. They seem to really offer a great outlet to my inner explorer, much less risk, but still a great sense of pride in seeing cool things if the game is good
I used to live in Florida, now Im living in LA. I saw the page about Linda Vista hospital and was pretty interested. After googling the location and seeing that its only a few miles from me, I'm extremely interested. I dont have any explorer buddies here, so I might just go it alone. Although that could be a little extreme for one person haha. Maybe I should rent a video camera and record myself going through the place and how I feel.
If somebody else is also thinking of going too, or to another location in the LA area, I will most likely go with ya. Feel free to send me a private message or email me Lachdahnan@hotmail.com
Well, thats enough ranting, thank you as well for providing such an awesome site, its really great.
