I live in Cincinnati and am looking for some abandoned buildings here that aren't downtown. Willing to drive 40 minutes out or up to Dayton if necessary. Thanks!!

What are you looking for in particular? Houses, buildings? Ohio has some fantastic abandoned farmhouses, if that's what you're after.
Now you can tear a building down, but you can't erase a memory
These houses may look all run down, but they have a value you can't see

I am looking for the same thing, I am thinking about checking out Surf Cincinnati and Americana - does anyone know if it has all been demolished/cleared at surf yet? I was also thinking about seeing if anything is left at Fantasy Farm or if it's in any way possible to get into the subways (I hear that it's not anymore).
I know Americana has security guards but I think they only are there during the nighttime...
Cincysteel if you are around cincinnati and want to get into abandoned exploration maybe we could check some places out... I haven't gone anywhere since the industrial sectors near downtown long ago.
I REALLY wanna go to surf cincinnati and take some pics, does anyone know any info as of 2009?

Last I heard Surf Cincinnati had security guards and I think a couple people have been there and been arrested. My girlfriend lives in Ohio and she works for a bail bonds company and I think she dealt with a bunch of kids who got arrested and had to have bonds placed on them for that place. I would be careful.

To shed some light on this subject:
1 - If I am not mistaken, Surf Cincinnati has been demolished, It was owned by a private residence or something.
2 - Americana/Fantasy Farm - does not have guards in the daytime, but the area inside the park is rather open, so you still have to be really careful as Couch's RV has a great view into the park & they were in operation Saturday when I went. But I did both Americana & Fantasy Farm in the same tour, didn't have any issues.
