Now you can tear a building down, but you can't erase a memory
These houses may look all run down, but they have a value you can't see

the colors on the walls and the outside is sickly, damn
i love the furniture style in the house though, and it looks pretty!
Sweeter than wine
Softer than a summer night
Everything I wanna have
Whenever I hold you tight

This magic moment
While your lips are close to mine
Will last forever
Forever till the end of time

What struck me was the amount of OLD furniture in this house - almost turn of the century old. Iron bedsteads, settee. etc.

And the amount of stuff still left there in certain places (newer stuff, first floor, hung on the lamp).

And why does every abandoned house I see pics of have the almost obligatory upright piano and paint cans?

Yes, the color choices are indeed ghastly.

Have you been there yourself?
Make a man a fire and you'll keep him warm for a day.
Set a man on fire and you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.

I wish. I don't have any idea where it is exactly in Ohio.

man.. if you knew where it was, id make my friend take a road trip here, so we can explore this place.
it amazes me how things at this house arent trashed, while most of the places where i live are trashed, some beyond recognition.

This is a great house. I just hope that now that the photos are out, that more people don't get into there and trash the place.
How do I live without the ones I love? / Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned / Place and time always on my mind / I have so much to say but you're so far away

"its hard to call these buildings abandoned when we have all but abandoned them."

Check out my galleries.

CRAZY? WHO are YOU calling CRAZY? YOU wouldn't KNOW CRAZY if CHARLES MANSON WAS EATING FRUIT LOOPS ON YOUR FRONT PORCH!

I think it might be safe because on the website where I found the pics there's no mention of its exact location, and the set of pics may have been submitted to the site anonymously (they mention that a lot of their pics are).

I kind of got the impression that whoever was living in it was elderly and perhaps passed on and the family just left the house as it was.

i think when things are left exactly how they were, its so much more influential.
like, not only is it an abandoned house, its a story of who lived there, their things, everything.

I agree that there's much more story with items left inside.

NEWSFLASH FOR SAVANNA: I have since found out that the house is located in removed, OH, and the photographer is Marty Myers. Found some of the same pics on graveaddiction.com and the pics were credited there.

:)

Well we enjoyed the pics keep them coming and if I had money I would buy the place.

I wonder what these books are. They look really old...

I wonder if we could blow the pic up enough to see titles.
